Welcome To ABC's 2005 WoW Waddle Parade Of Rescues Page!!!

First off I would like to thank all of you for participating in ABC's First Rescue Dog Fun Show at the 2005 WoW Waddle. We hope you had as much fun as we did at the show. All of your hounds were just wonderful! Unfortunately we ran way over time and were unable to have the Parade Of Rescues we had hoped to do. We have plans of changing the format some next year to insure we don't run into this problem again next year. However, as a thank you to all of you who submitted your hounds stories I would like to make a special page on ABC's website where we can post your dog's picture and story.

Thank you, Dawn Martino

Barnaby Frech loved by Fred and Barb Frech

Barnaby was found almost dead from starvation in the woods of Kentucky. It took rescuers five months of feeding him chicken and rice to get his digestive system working again. A month ago he almost died when he bloated due to anesthesia giving during a teeth cleaning. After a 3 hour operation he recovered and is back with us!

Samuel loved by Linda Locke

We picked Samuel up in May 2002. Our first impression of him was trouble with housebreaking because the first thing he did was pee on his foster Mom's leg when he got out of her van! But he was not a problem. Sam enjoys large pots of meatballs, pork tenderloin and Teriyaki Burgers (five at a time) He is a great counter surfer. Sam is really good natured and tolerant of the abuse from his sister. He goes to work with us everyday and all our customer love his big ears. He has been a great addition to our family and we could not ask for a better dog. Samuel is great and we all love him!
Ozzy Eberhardt loved by Andy and Jill Eberhardt

We adopted Ozzy two months ago from ABC. She is the sweetest, best tempered dog. She is a big love bug. She thinks everybody is her best friend and her belly is there for everyone to rub!

Max Landesman loved by Kim and Richard Landesman

Max's poor little face and ears had been burned by cigarettes before he came into rescue. Among his many scars he came with a lot of "baggage" He would not play and was afraid of everything. After 3 years of loving Max has blossomed into a very loving and friendly boy. He's rarely without his favorite red ball in his mouth. Max was rescued by Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue.
Trixie and Alice Wiltse loved by Nancy Wiltse and Hugh Besong

Trixie and her sister Alice were on ABC's website in need of home together. We thought who would adopt two 7 year old dogs??? Well, as you can guess we did!!! They have made themselves at home from day one. Their big sister, Samantha thought they were coming for a just a week but, now misses them if they go out with anywhere without her!

Andee Prince loved by Wendie Prince and Pat Price

Andee rescued out of a Key West Animal Shelter in Florida by Suncoast Basset Rescue. She was terrified of thunder storms and had some malignancies removed from her tummy. We pray all the cancer is gone. We fostered Andee but, she decided she we were her forever family!!! She loves to sunbathe and get belly rubs!
