Orvis
Hi, my name is Orvis, six years old and a big ole pile of love. When I came to live with my new mommy and daddy a little over two months ago, I was pretty scared. I was so quiet, mommy thought my barker was broke! I was so lonely when they went to work, I forgot some of my housetraining rules. All I wanted to do was lay on the couch. The vet doctor told me I had separation anxiety and gave me some tips on how to adjust. Since then I've come to realize that I've adjusted very well to my new home and it's not me that has separation anxiety but mommy and daddy! They never leave me alone! I always have to follow them around even when they're out working in the yard. I had to tell them to get a second couch in the living room because they were always sitting right on top of me! Don't get me wrong, I love the attention, but sometimes I need my space! Even my annoying little brother, Ratty McHamster, agrees with me! One day they bought me my own bed so I could sleep in the same room with them. Finally, I had to break it off and let them know I would be sleeping on the living room couch, BY MYSELF! They're always giving me belly rubs, treats, car rides, and they make me go on two walks a day with them (I like to make them run)! I think they're jealous because I have more friends in our neighborhood than they do. Get this, I even have to go to the pet store with them and pick out my own squeaky toys (I don't like anything that resembles a ball, mommy calls me such a girly-girl)! With a little work, I'm sure I'll break them in soon so my heartfelt thanks to ABC for giving me my new mommy and daddy. I love my forever home. |
