 Harley's Story,Hi, my name is Harley and I have to say that when the nice lady from ABC Basset Rescue came and took me to my new home I was a bit scared, But after a few days my new mommy and daddy showed me that things here would be great and boy were they right! I get to sleep on the couch and the bed when ever I want to. I get tons of chew toys and lots of love. They play with me all the time! I love to ride in the car with mommy. She lets me hang my head out the window. My mommy also gives me carrots. I LOVE carrots! But the best things are my chew toys. Mommy calls them rawhides. I chew and chew and chew. I have 5 going right now in all shapes and sizes but I buried two in mommy’s flower garden. Shhh... don’t tell mommy. You know, I don’t like that loud noise outside when it rains. Mommy calls it thunder. Well, what ever it is it’s scarey. I try to run and hide but mommy and daddy protect me so that makes me feel better. When the thunder is gone, mommy and daddy take me outside to show me it’s gone. I love the yard. I run and play and dig holes. Daddy put a big fence up around mommy’s flower garden though. DARN! I have bones in there! Shhh...Don’t tell mommy. I love it when mommy and daddy’s friends and family come over to see me. They love me too and I have lots of fun with them. Mommy’s son showed me how to bark. I didn’t like to bark at first but now I bark all the time. Some times too much mommy says. Ahh, What does she know! BAROOOOO!!! Thank you ABC Basset Rescue, I love it here! Now where did I hide that bone?? |
