Dolly needs you to be her Angel.

Adopted, Dolly and her Puppies

Dolly’s puppies may have had difficulty coming into the world, but they have proven to be a healthy and strong little bunch.  Dad is unknown, but is definitely a large breed dog.  Based solely on the puppy’s markings, it is possible that he may have been at least part coonhound.  But Dolly isn’t saying.

All of the puppies are energetic, boisterous, outgoing little clowns.  Watching them play is better than watching TV sitcoms.   Wrestling is their favorite game, followed by chase and barking at each other from under the tables.  They go, go, go like little Energizer Bunnies, then collapse for a well-deserved nap.  They love the outside.  They like to find sticks many times their size and try to run with them.  And they usually succeed!  And if there’s a mud puddle, they will find it.  Tough on stuffed toys, they have beheaded and defooted a few.  But they will be happy if given a cardboard box to chew on.    If you’re looking for a quiet, gentle lap dog, keep looking.  You won’t find that here.  But if you want high energy, always on the run, Energizer bunnies that keep going and going, you’ve come to the right place.

All of the puppies have been vet-checked and have received their first 5-way vaccine and have been wormed twice.  ABC will require the new owners to neuter/spay their puppy as soon as they are old enough to be done, continue with puppy shots and heartworm as recommended by their vets.

You can be a Dolly's Bassets Angel by sponsoring her and helping to defray her Vet bills. Currently over $2100.00. Won't you be Dolly's angel?

You will receive a Thank You Gift for your generosity.  I would like to Sponsor Dolly now!

Adopted, Blackie

Wants to be held, but not for long.  Loves to give kisses, which will quickly turn to love nibbles.  Somewhat shy, but definitely not quiet.  Loves to wrestle and growl and spar especially with Brownie.   Sometimes a loner, she would frequently sleep away from the pile when younger.

Adopted, Sheep-cow

Named after a toy that was either a sheep or a cow, but we couldn’t decide.  She was totally black and white when she was born, but developed a lot of ticking.  Some would call her the runt, but she’s not the runt in spirit.  She can tackle and pin down all of the others and does so frequently.  She is the most boisterous of the bunch, letting you know when she wants out of the puppy pen.  Slow eater at first, but now will plow her way to the food bowl.  Very brave and outgoing.

Adopted, Seamus

Seamus is the only boy in the litter.  He is the oldest, being born about 9 hrs before the others.  Very outgoing little guy.  Started out as the little tyrant but has since been beaten into submission by his sisters.  He likes to snuggle and will sit on your lap to watch the others play when he gets tired.

Adopted, Miss Piggy

Miss Piggy was born eating.  She started nursing the minute she was put with mom and hasn’t stopped eating yet.  She’s the biggest of the litter.  Very outgoing.  Loves to steal things from the others and run.  Gentle giant of the group.

Adopted, Brownie

Quietest personality, but not necessarily quiet in terms of noise.  Will sit on the sidelines and watch for a minute before joining in the fray.   Likes to be close to the others and to people.   Will get into trouble when your back is turned.  They say to watch out for the quiet ones.
