Saydee:

Saydee, approx 6 yrs old, was a stray that was turned into a shelter in Homer. She was to be euthanized unless a rescue agreed to take her.   She is a little skittish but seems really sweet and lovable.  Despite this she wags her tail when you pet her and talk sweet to her.  And true to all bassets, she loves to go for walks and sniff out new smells.  Saydee really likes other dogs and seems to get along well with all.   She follows their lead and seems to gain confidance from them. Saydee has a lot of energy and would do really well in a home with an outgoing, active dog as a role model and playmate. I also think she would enjoy dog savy older children to run and play with.  She is very sensitive to noise and sudden movements, so I think small kids might be too scary for her.  She will make a great addition to any family.

If you can't adopt or foster right now, you can still help a homeless basset in need by being a Virtual Foster Home.
