 Daisy's
Success Story,A very successful story. Daisy, now called Sophia, came into our lives in the fall of '04. Good natured McKenzie, the one on the right, wanted desperately to play, play, play. The cat, Charlie, just wouldn't co-operate with 'Kenzie's rough-housing. I often looked at the ABC Basset Rescue site. One day, there she was. Daisy! Her description sounded just like McKenzie. At first I had "cold feet". I wasn't sure I could handle two delightful "crazies" nor, probably, could Charlie, the cat. I did, apply however, figuring I couldn't just pick her out and she would be mine.(Ours). Well, here she is and here she will stay. Crazy they are. Play, play, play. They get along perfectly, both extremely good natured and goofily happy. There is a touch of jealousy over me, though. Poor Charlie puts up with them both and is not the least bit afraid of them. Yes, all three sleep on the bed with me. As you can see, they have taken over the couch. One problem? They look so much alike many find it hard to tell them apart. Of course mothers can tell! That's Sophia on the left.........I think! |
