 Bubba's Story,Hi! My name is Bubba and I have had a very interesting life so far for a 7 month old! I left my Mom & Dad when I was 6 weeks old and was adopted to what I thought was my forever home. At the tender age of 5 months I guess I had more energy than my adopted family could handle so they decided not to keep me. Another new adopted family saw my picture at the Mattydale Animal Hospital and fell in love with me. I was so happy to be with them that I could not give them enough kisses & licks! They loved me so much, and I loved them even more! Then something terrible happened, my new Mom & my 2-legged brothers & sisters began to sneeze and itch. They went to the doctors and were told they were allergic to me!!! AGAAH!!! The doctor told them that they were allergic to my dander and when I kissed them, they would break out in hives. They were VERY UPSET over this and so was I because I knew what was coming next. My family spoke to a very nice lady named of Darlene who works at the Mattydale PETCO. She suggested that my family contact ABC Basset Hound Rescue, which is exactly what they did, and off I went. After a tearful good-bye I was off to a foster home. Today, I am happy to be living with my new family. I have a new Mom, Dad and 2-legged sister who spoil me rotten. The best news is I now have 3 furkid brothers and sisters. Morgan, a chocolate lab, acts like my fur-Mom, Tater, another basset, is a little slow to warm up to me, but I think he is beginning to come around. Then there is my oldest basset brother, Boomer, who is really old and likes to sleep a lot. My Dad calls us "BUBBA Bing & Bada BOOM"; he is a real Sopranos fan! That's O.K. because Italian is my favorite cuisine next to my Mom's homemade "Dinosaur Barbecue Dog Biscuits". Life is good once again. Thank you ABC Basset Hound Rescue. |
