 Betsy's Story,
If you look in the dictionary next to the word "elegant" you will find her name - Betsy! She came into our home with three other dogs in residence and I must admit I was a little nervous. Betsy was five years old and our other dogs were 10, 5 and 3 respectively. The introduction went very well and from day one Betsy showed our other dogs what an elegant lady she was and has fit in like she has always been here. When we saw Betsy's "bio" on the ABC Basset Hound Rescue Web Page, we fell in love with her. She had a crooked leg - like one of our other dogs - and she had long hair! We had never seen a long haired basset and knew she was going to be ours. We went to her wonderful foster home to introduce ourselves to her and then brought her home a few days later! She has made our family complete. We want to thank Jim & Cassandra Vance, who fostered Betsy and love her too and to ABC Basset Hound Rescue for their wonderful work in rescuing these gentle souls and believe me, we will adopt again in the future!
