When you become a Virtual Foster Home (VFH), you will be financially contributing to your virtual foster dog's care while he/she awaits their forever home. This can be as little as $5 a month, or a one time donation of any amount. This money will be used towards veterinary care for our homeless bassets.

When you Virtually Foster a basset, your name and city will appear next to their picture on our website.  

ABCBHR is a non-profit, 501-c-3 organization. We rely strictly on donations, fundraisers, and The Slobber Shoppe, to pay for the care New York's homeless basset hounds. The money you give to ABCBHR goes towards caring for these dogs, we are all volunteers, no one collects a salary of any kind.

The average amount spent on each basset hound before adoption is approx $375. Our adoption fees range between $75-$250, hardly enough to cover what we have invested into each dog.

Virtually fostering a basset will help us continue our mission of saving the lives of unwanted and unloved basset hounds.
