ABC's 2005 Fall Picnic - Calling All Bassets!!!!

When: October 8, 2005 from 12:00 -4:00 pm.

Where: Saratoga Spa State Park - Saratoga Springs, NY

ABC's 2005 Fall Picnic was a success even in the pouring rain!! Basset people are truly the best ever!! We cannot believe the people and dogs that came out in the rain. 90 die-hard Basset fans and 60 of their hounds braved the weather. We all huddled in the pavilion with the fire going and had a great time. People were smiling and dogs were howling. It was really a good picnic despite the monsoon rain. We were there with one thing in mind: to help the dogs! Together we raised $2480.00!!!!

We want to give a special thank you to all who came out and especially those who came and worked to put it on:

Tom Rodwell and Kathy Penny – were on hand with the Slobber Shoppe, Bob & Linda Gardner and Gina Handy – braved the cold damp weather to man the registration table, Crystal Elliott – ran the raffle and silent auction tables, Mark Hoag – did his special houndie pedicures, Bob & Terry Larkin – handle the adoption and fostering table, John Elliott – took awesome pictures all day, Chris & Jen Corlew, Sue Williams & her family, and a big thank you to Dorothy Thomas of Little Paws Pet Bakery, Tony Pucci & family from Subs-Ta-Toot, Dean Quackenbush &Lightning Sounds our DJ, and the guys from Kirby vacuum.
